COMPULSIVE BEHAVIOURS
COMPULSIVE BEHAVIOURS
The difference between a compulsive behaviour and a compulsive disorder is simply that a disorder is an illness normally caused by a chemical reaction within the body. Disorders need to be treated by medical professionals. If a person has been diagnosed with a disorder they are usually under the treatment of a psychiatrist and need to bring a letter from the medical professional to confirm they have no objections to the treatment.
A behaviour is different, as it is a habit or a learnt behaviour.
